2003 Topps Pristine Mini 王的第一張迷你卡
2003 年 Topps Pristine Mini 這張應該是王建民第一張迷你的球卡, 大約是在當年十月初發行的,時間上剛好在王的Bowman's Best AU之後出的... 拆卡包中這種新人卡的機率(rookie stated odds) 是 1:16. 對照於同一系列王的Refractor卡號120 (#/499)和 121(#/99) 這二張分屬於Ucommon, Rare 類別的機率分別是 1:6, 1:27 這張迷你的卡雖然没有限量編號但我推算大約出了 300張左右..這也就是這張卡並不是那麼常出現的主因. 這卡雖說是迷你卡, 但是它的大小其實只比一般卡小一些而已..看薄膜的大小就知道.
看背面記載 He allowed only seven homers in his first 225 pro innings. 王建民職業生涯的前225局中只被擊出 7 支全壘打, 這統計看來是建仔從以前就不容易被打出全壘打了, 非常有意思的卡.

I havn't bought Wang's cards for a long time either. I got some of his early autographs that I think would be rare enough to be the unique center piece for my Wang's Autograph Variation Collections so I don't have to search anymore...
As for your collecting James Dean, I also wamt to collect Marilyn Monroe. I have a pool cue of her that I bought in 1993, still a very beautiful piece of cue and hold its value for a long time.
Maybe you'll be a major Jeff Francis collector! Isn't it more fun if you can collect the player you like without spending tons of money?
